Yoga Exercise To Control Gas
Gas is formed mainly because of constipation and indigestion. Once you free yourself from these conditions, the gas related problems will subside. The two most effective yoga postures to reduce gas formation and also to get rid of gas are Balasana (Child Pose) and Pavanamuktasana (Wind Relieving Pose). You can practice 2 to 3 sets of Wind Relieving Pose each day, and after enough of practice you can hold on to the posture for a longer duration of time. This pose also helps in toning the large intestine and activating the organs of the abdomen.
Along with these yoga postures, it is also essential that you make proper changes to your diet. The postures will not be effective if you continue with your old eating habits. You should reduce the amount of eggs, meat, and other non-vegetarian foods that you consume. By practicing the yoga postures regularly and maintaining a proper diet, you should be successful in treating the problem of gas.

Do People Experience Flatulence After Doing Yoga?
There are various poses in yoga that involve twisting the stomach and internal organs. Others include pulling up the legs to the stomach or bending forwards and putting extra pressure on the abdominal area. All these can increase the chances of flatulence during a yoga class. Some of the ways you can prevent this or at least lessen the chances of the occurrence is to avoid eating a few hours before your yoga class. You can also regularly practice the Wind Relieving Pose, which does exactly what it is supposed to. To do this pose, lie down on your back. Extend your legs, bend them and clasp them against your stomach. You should aim to grasp your elbows or wrists around your legs. Tuck your chin into your chest and breathe normally. Point your toes straight and keep your legs together at all times. This posture improves blood circulation by compressing the internal organs. The pressure also releases any trapped gases and relieves constipation.
Keep in mind though that flatulence is a normal reaction to some yoga poses and if it happens to you, it is nothing to be mortified about. Most yoga instructors are used to this happening. After all, yoga also relaxes the body tremendously and this could lead to flatulence as well.

What Are Some Positions I Can Sit In To Get Rid Of Gas?
Many a times, people experience a buildup of gas in the body. This mainly happens as a result of factors such as indigestion, ingestion of air caused by breathing through the mouth or stress.
In order to get rid of a gas buildup, it is best to bend down to touch your feet while sitting on a chair. This posture compresses the tummy and the abdominal region thus helping to relieve the body of accumulated gas. Another remedy is to go down on your haunches several times in an effort to allow the gas to pass out naturally. While doing so, the knees should be slightly apart with the heels close together. Sitting on a flat surface, pull your knees close to your chest and wrap your arms around your shins and gently rock back and forth. This is another remedy that could be very effective. Waddling like a duck is also believed to be a beneficial exercise for the treatment of gas. One must bend his or her knees as well as back so that the tummy region gets squeezed and walk like this for a short while. A brisk walk after every meal aids digestion and reduces the chances of the buildup of gas.

How Can I Pass Gas Right Away?
The feeling of excess gas in your system is a very uncomfortable one. This could be significantly worse in instances where you experience great difficulty in getting rid of the gas. Before getting into the methods that could help you relieve yourself of the built up gas, it is important to make sure that you understand the root causes of gas buildup. Avoiding the causes is the first step to the treatment of the condition. Diet has known to be the major culprit for the buildup of gas; therefore one needs to pay careful attention to the food that they consume in order to avoid this condition.
The
wind relieving pose is an aptly named yoga pose that helps pass gas that seems reluctant to be passed. To perform this pose, you need to lie down on your back with your legs stretched out straight, bend your knee and hold it with both your hands before lifting your head to your knee while inhaling simultaneously. This position will allow the passage to your colon open and you will be able to release the trapped gas. Exhale while you release and perform the same routine with your other leg. Repeat until you feel completely relieved and relaxed.

What Do I Do If I Have Excessive Gas During My Yoga Sessions?
Gas build up in the digestive system is not uncommon. During digestion, food is treated with different types of acids and enzymes. The chemical reactions that occur at this time may produce vapors and gases. These get trapped in the digestive system cause discomfort and, sometimes, pain. When one suffers from gas during yoga, it may hinder one’s movements. It is therefore best to evacuate the gas from the system so that there is no discomfort felt.
There is a specific yoga pose designed for this very purpose. The individual must lie flat on the floor. Slowly, one can raise the legs to the point where the knees are touching the chest. The arms can be used to hold the knees in place. One will feel a widening of the buttocks. One will also feel the desire to pass wind. This process can be done as discreetly as possible. When this happens, the amount of gas present in the digestive system will reduce, thus reducing the pressure and the discomfort felt by the individual. Normal
yoga positions can be continued after this. One must not try this position if one wishes to defecate. Instead, that should be the priority action to perform in order to relieve the body.

Yogic DietFor sufferers of excessive
gas formation and expulsion, as well as other related digestive disorders, a Yogic diet is a must. This means, if you are non vegetarian, you will have to turn vegetarian, as much as possible and as fast as possible. For best and quickest results, see that your daily fare is Sattvic (light and predominantly vegetarian) with lots of seasonal fruits, daily salads, green leafy vegetables and sprouts. Please avoid all fatty foods, milk products such as yoghurt, butter and cheese and junk / fast foods. These will only exacerbate your acidic and flatulent condition and vastly retard your healing process. On the other hand, should you adhere to a pure and light vegetarian diet, observe a daily routine of early to bed and early to rise, avoid late nights and do your Yoga practices regularly, you are bound to achieve the desired results sooner than later.
