When the natural oil from our scalp fails to reach the tips, it can lead to the development of split ends. There are many reasons for our hair becoming dry - washing your hair with hot water, overexposure to extreme weather conditions, sun, and pollution, and not oiling and conditioning the hair regularly. One cannot restore the split hairs back to normal; so, you need to have them snipped off before they spread further. Getting your hair trimmed around three centimeters, every four to six weeks, from the tips is also a good way to prevent split ends. When you re-grow the trimmed part, you need to keep all the above mentioned tips in mind to prevent dryness and split ends.
