There are many asanas which can be practiced to reduce hair loss. However,
specific asanas like sarvangasana and shrishasana prevents the fall of hair almost immediately. This is provided that the individual does not suffer from internal issues like anemia and hypothyroidism. Although these asanas for hair loss are effective and help in giving a healthy scalp they may not bring about the growth of new hair. If you practice these
asanas for hair loss regularly with a nutrient rich diet you are sure to have healthy hair. Dandruff can also be a cause of hair loss so it is recommended to get a medical checkup done. Pawanmuktasana and vajrasana are also effective asanas for hair loss.
To perform vajrasana you should be seated on your knees. Bring your toes together and rest your hands while keeping them straight on your knees. It is best to check hair fall causes, especially if the loss of hair is more than normal and has been continuing for a long period of time without any respite. Although shirshasana and sarvangasana are advocated to be practiced for a healthy scalp and mane, it is debatable whether hair growth can take place in the scalp area, among those who have lost hair.
However if these asanas along with an intake of foods rich in nutrients and essential minerals, are performed daily they are sure to maintain a healthy and fit body. Loss of hair can also be due to dandruff problems or scalp infections. Hence it is always wise to go in for a proper medical checkup to get a clean chit from any type of disorders.
