What Causes Stomach Gas
Gas is a common problem faced by many people. Although this problem is not life threatening it can cause a lot of social and psychological problems as is creates a lot of embarrassment for both, the person suffering from the problem as well as people around. This causes a bloating sensation which is most noticeable after you eat or drink something. Some of the other symptoms are an uncomfortable feeling in the abdomen along with pain, frequent burping and a foul odor when gas passes through the rectal canal. When the carbohydrates that are present in the foods we eat are not broken down properly it causes gas in the gastro intestinal tract. Some people also suffer from gas as they are lactose intolerant and their diet lacks fiber. This gas could also accumulate due to poor eating habits; if you don’t have your meals at the right time and there are a lot of gaps between your meals. If you do not chew you food properly and eat too fast it also results in the accumulation of gas as you tend to swallow a lot of air when you eat fast. You also need to watch the food you eat as some foods cause a lot of gas.
