My ear has drainage and stinks, it cause itchiness also, and garlic oil didn’t work, what to do?
If you have drainage from your ear which is smelly, it is, in all likelihood, the leftover garlic juice which is causing this stink. It seems as though this particular remedy has not worked out for you. There is nothing to be alarmed about. It is fairly common for this remedy to fail, so you are not the only one who has had problems with it. Before you try to do anything else, however, you need to visit a doctor and get your ear checked. If you have developed some sort of an infection, only a doctor would diagnose it accurately. Accordingly he would also prescribe a method of treatment for you. It would be unwise to let an infection go untreated and fester on. If you do this, it may also cause further problems. Keep in mind that the ear is a delicate organ and it should also be treated thus. Once you have a green chit from your doctor, you should first try to clean your ear out completely. The best way to go about doing this would be the pour a bit of hydrogen peroxide in your ear and let it work for a few minutes. After this, you can use a fresh cotton swab and clear out your ear. This will remove all the dirt and debris from your ear and it will also take care of the stink.
You would also need to employ this remedy for about a couple of weeks to see if you have managed to clear out the stink completely. Clean out your ear every alternate day and this should work fine. If there is any pain, or if you notice any bleeding, you need to stop at once and consult a doctor right away. Please understand that there is no point in allowing an infection to fester and make your ear worse. At some point, if you have a serious or a bad infection, you will need to get on to a course of antibiotics anyway. Infections cannot be treated with home remedies and you should not even try. Once you are through with this particular problem, you should try to keep your ears clean and free of such problems. The cleaning routine described above needs to be followed on a weekly basis. You should also completely avoid putting anything sharp or pointed into your ear in an effort to clean it out under any circumstances.
