I have body ache and fever at the same time for past 2 days, what home remedy to use
One of the best ways to get rid of a stubborn fever is to bring the body temperature down by applying surface heat. Use any cologne added to chilled water to apply to the forehead. The best way is to wet a strip of cloth and repeatedly apply the cloth to the forehead and the soles of the feet. This will help to regulate and reduce the body temperature considerably. Once the fever is in control, then the cough can be taken care of too. The first thing to determine is that you are not sick with the flu. The symptoms described here sound exactly like those that typically accompany the influenza virus. Since it has been three days, it would be a good thing to get the possibility of the flu eliminated by the doctor. Sometimes, a fever is a clear sign that the body is fighting an infection too. And if there is an infection, then it may need antibiotics or steroids in order to rid the body of the infection totally. Please keep in mind that the flu is a badly infectious thing that can actually be fatal if neglected, so please do not make this mistake.
If the possibility of flu has been eliminated, then the next best thing would be to bring down the fever and then tackle the cold. It is important to drink hot fluids aplenty in order to get rid of any chest congestion. Usually, spicy tea is a good solution in such cases. Add peppercorns and cloves to water and boil it for a good 10 minutes, or till the water is halved. Drink this while it is hot. It may be extremely spicy and give hiccups, but this should get taken care of soon by itself. Seam inhalations are another way to help loosen mucus and resolve the cold. Another extremely helpful method to get rid of the cold is to have a mixture of ginger and lemon. If there is no soreness in the throat, then this will be extremely helpful in fighting back the cough. However, do not use lemon juice if the throat is in pain or inflamed. This will only make the situation worse and increase the pain and trouble. Garlic juice is also an excellent home remedy to get rid of stubborn colds. Take a tablespoon of freshly pressed juice each night before bedtime. This will help to loosen up mucus.
