Kidney stones are far from fun, as anyone who has had to suffer one will confirm. But then, kidney stones need not be such a major hassle. As a matter fact, I was told it can be as uncomplicated as having lots of fluids and pissing it on ones own, with palliatives prescribed to relieve the pain.
If you manage to pass the stone, your medical practitioner would, most probably, like you to keep it to have it can be inspected and so that a reoccurrence can be avoided.
Operations only become obligatory when the stones get too big and cant be passed on their own. One way involves opening fire on the kidney stones and breaking them up with ultrasonic waves. This technique is called lithotripsy. Other clinical techniques may be more potent, but are normally resorted to only when there is no other option

Having plenty of fluids is always prescribed for people with a background of kidney stones. They are also advised to keep away from dairy products and other calcium rich foods. Vitamin D foods are also avoidable under certain circumstances. In fact, people with very acidic urine may even be advised to cut down on meat, fish, and poultry.
The suggested program would be:
Cleansing kriyas such as Shanka Prakshalana
In asanas, I'd only go in for the inverted poses such as Sirshasana, Sarvangasana and Viparita Karani. Dont do any forward bends, seated or standing.
Do lots of breathing exercises, as well. Suggest pranayamas are Anuloma-Viloma and Ujjayi. Make sure never to do kapalabhatti & bhastrika.
And last, but not the least, if yours is a sedentary life, your body will be more prone to the problem. So, to avoid further kidney stones, you should also have plenty of magnesium, potassium, Vitamin E, and Vitamin B6 supplements.
