If you must eat then yoga must be done at least four to five hours after a full meal. Another option of practicing yoga is in the evenings sometime around sunset. The bowel must ideally be empty and the individual can take a shower before starting on yoga. Although some yoga practitioners believe that yoga can be done at any given time of the day, an important rule to follow is that it should never be done on a full stomach or immediately after consuming any form of meals.
To begin with, yoga must be started with asanas and then followed by Pranayama lastly followed by meditation. Although there is no hard and fast rule that it should be performed strictly in a particular fashion, the key to good health is to enjoy the practice of yoga and fell good about it.
