Despite the fact that yoga is one of the oldest disciplines in the world, it has only recently seen its portfolio rise after recent decades of dominance by chemical based modern medicine. Understanding and properly practicing the art of yoga is definitely going to make a huge difference to the quality of life you lead as it helps develop some of the rarely used muscles within the body. It is these rarely used muscles that usually cause some amount of discomfort as a person continues to age. Keeping these muscles active and working is the best way to make sure that the muscles are in good shape when the ageing process starts to get into full motion. Yoga is an all enveloping discipline and takes ages to master. Even some of the more experienced yoga masters keep studying for new ways in how to do yoga asanas and how to do yoga poses. As a result, a beginner is going to find it rather complicated when it comes to how to do yoga postures as there are varying levels of difficulty. Some of the more prominent benefits of yoga asanas include an increased flexibility, an increased level of lubrication in the joints, ligaments and tendons as well as complete detoxification of the body as a result of the strenuous stretching of the muscles. The combination of asanas that you have mentioned seem to fit very well, but it is highly recommended that you approach a yoga guru in your locality, if there is one, to cast a supervisory eye on the techniques you employ to complete these asanas.
It is important to have a clear understanding of how to do your yoga sequence because of the varying complexity between each posture. If you are not too clear about how to do yoga poses, there is always a chance that you could inadvertently injure a muscle, joint or tendon. How to do the yoga pranayama, or breathing exercises during yoga, is also extremely important as it is the basis on which your body adapts to the various requests demanded of it while performing some of the yoga asanas. It is important to remember that yoga pranayama can only be mastered gradually and may take months or even years to be good at it. The yoga principles state that once a person has mastered the art of yoga pranayama, the controlled breathing can help control almost any disease affecting the human body.

Surya Namaskar by itself is a complete form of exercise. It is an ideal warm-up and conditioning exercise for physical and mental well-being. As a matter of fact, each one of the 12 postures of Surya Namaskar provides the body the gracefulness and strength in addition to mental peace, with the regular performance of Surya Namaskar.
