Hyper tension
Hyper tension (or low blood pressure) is caused by a number of risk factors, including genetics and lifestyle. Yoga can help with this matter through meditation and a yogic lifestyle. When completing asanas, remember to breathe in deeply and consistently, in through your nose and out through your mouth. Meditation is also a big part of yoga. Meditation has also been proven to lower blood pressure through the elimination of stress in your life.Try practicing some of the less high energy yoga styles, such as Hatha or Kundalini. Both types incorporate a sustained period of mediation after the completion of the asanas. When meditating, release your mind and focus only on relaxation and your breathing. It may seem awkward at first, but you will see the benefits of meditation soon enough.
As well, maintaining a yogic lifestyle may also help lower your blood pressure. A yogic lifestyle includes daily meditation and prayer, as well as strict vegetarianism. A yogic lifestyle can be difficult to maintain for the beginner, however, with practice and dedication, it can become a very rewarding lifestyle.
If yoga and a yogic lifestyle does not help to decrease your blood pressure, your hyper tension may be caused by genetic factors and you should get help from your doctor.
