First of all, did you visit an ENT Specialist? Under the circumstances, it seems imperative that a professional opinion is called for. This can only come when you see your physician and get the recommendations of an ENT Specialist. It is always better to seek professional help; if not directly an MD or an ENT Specialist, at least seek the opinion of your personal physician. He or she will be able to best guide you about the nuances of the workings of the ear, nose, throat as well as the probable problems and dysfunctions.
For
sinusitis certain practices are recommended. These include a set of asanas (
Yoga poses), pranayamas (
breathing exercises), Kriyas (cleansing techniques) and Yoga diet. Put together, these are known to help diminish and, with consistent practise, over a period of time, even get rid of the problem altogether. From what you have written, it is possible that your ear problems are the result of
sinusitis. And yet, we can’t nor is it wise to take anything for granted.
The program for
Sinusitis – and probably your ear problem as well - would include the following:
Asanas (Yoga Poses)Surya Namaskar
Standing poses- Tadasana (Palm Tree Pose)
- Vrikshasana (Tree Pose)
- Trikonasana (Triangle Pose)
- Padahastasana (Hands to Feet Pose)
- Padangusthasana (Hands to Toe Pose)
Sitting poses- Sukhasana (Easy Pose)
- Padmasana (Lotus Pose)
- Janu Sirshasana (Forehead to One Leg Pose)
- Paschimottanasana (Forehead to Knees Pose)
- Ushtrasana (Camel Pose)
Supine posesSingle and Double Leg Raises
Prone poses- Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose)
- Shalabhasana (Locus Pose)
- Dhanurasana (Bow Pose)
Inverted poses- Viparita Karani (Legs against the wall pose)
- Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand)
- Halasana (Plough Pose)
- Chakrasana
Pranayama (Breathing Exercises)Kapalabhatti (Skull Cleansing)
Anuloma-Viloma (alternate Nostril Breathing)
Kriyas (Cleansing Techniques)Yoga DietSee that your diet is Sattvic (pure, light and simple) and predominantly vegetarian. It should also be fat free and not too spicy. These things tend to aggravate the problem. A simple, light, vegetarian diet, on the other hand, is easily digestible and free from toxins that make it easy and light on the digestive system as well. The more pressure you put on your digestive tract, remember, the more pressure you are putting on your whole body. So eat light. In a short while, (with the help of your doctor) you are bound to see good, positive results.
