Thirteen is a good age to start on yoga. Practicing yoga can bring about immense benefits in mental and physical health. Apart from improving your flexibility yoga is also very useful in enhancing your mental ability during stressful situations such as exams. Yoga is also instrumental in maintaining a good posture and balance, and endurance. In addition, many teenagers and youth who start on yoga at an early age have less anxiousness situations and can manage stress in life effectively in the long run.

Most yogasanas and pranayama techniques are simple solutions to coping with daily school and peer pressure, and if these yogasanas are practiced daily before and after study hours brings about tremendous benefits. The Sun Salutation or Surya-namaskar is an amazing exercise that helps to channelize energy in a positive manner and improve the endocrinal functionalities to induce structural, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual development. There are many different kinds of yoga, while the most gentle type top begin with is known as the hatha yoga.
