Muscles spasms have been believed to be the most commonly experienced causes of back pain. Although modern medicine is still unable to diagnose the exact reasons that trigger spasms, latest research has shown that excessive stretching; incorrectly lifting heavy objects, and mental stress could be some of the factors responsible for causing muscle spasms. Back spasms are also frequently noticed in individuals who live sedentary lifestyles.
Back Spasm Pain Relief

It is important for you to know that the pain in your back could be due to excessive flexion or slouching, so the exercises which move it in the opposite direction, known as extension exercises can be most beneficial. Also ensure that you drink plenty of water so that your body is well hydrated. Dehydrated muscles are known to tire out easily leading to muscle spasms.
Severe Back Pain
Back pain can be severe, developing quickly and intensively, after an accident or trauma and may last either for a short duration or chronic, long-lasting, recurrent pain that seems to appear suddenly. The primary causes of chronic back pain are rarely completely apparent. Arthritis, poor posture, simple movements, obesity and some internal underlying disorders can be responsible for causing aches in our backs.
Remedies
You may opt to use any of the freely available over-the-counter medicated sprays or pain relieving ointments to gain relief from the symptoms of your back pain. However you must keep in mind, that if the back pain does not resolve itself completely and persists on for more than a month you must get checked it by a doctor to identify the root cause of the pain.
