Significance of Heat in Bikram Yoga

Bikram Yoga is named after its founder - Bikram Choudhury. His is a series of 26 asanas done in a room heated from around 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit. Each asana is usually done twice and held for a certain length of time.

Yoga Sessions begin from standing asanas, then backbends, forward bends, and twists. The asanas are done with Kapalabhati Breath or what is called "breath of fire".

Why Kapalabhati?
