A major factor for your body odor is the kind of food that you consume. If you are able to identify the foods responsible for body odor and eliminate it from your diet, the results would be long lasting. Certain foods when consumed regularly do not get totally eliminated from your system or broken down into simpler forms. These foods are the causative factor for your body odor to become noticeably offensive. Red meat is a food that can aggravate your body odor. This is also the reason why people on a vegetarian diet tend to smell less than those who consume non-vegetarian food on a daily basis or at least thrice or more in a week. Processed items in your food and excess of a refined diet are also reasons for your body to emanate an offensive or foul odor. The lifestyle of today includes a fast-paced living where you tend to eat fast foods than pick naturally grown fruits and vegetables. This should also be removed from your diet. Manufactured food items that are devoid of healthy fiber, and they contain added sugar and hydrogenated oils, which are culprits that lend your body its offensive odor. Take care to avoid processed and fast food, and you would see noticeable decrease of your body odor.
Diet is important in order to get rid of body odor. Your diet should include fresh fruits and vegetables as well as foods that are a rich source of natural fiber. Whole grains, sprouts and nuts, leafy vegetables, and fresh fruits are elements of a healthy diet that does not cause your body to let off offensive odor. Healthy oils and cooking herbs and spices like parsley, celery, oregano, thyme and mint leaves also cleanse your body from within and do not yield any offensive odor. Along with a good diet, include yoga exercises like Pavanmuktasana (Wind Relieving Pose) to regularize your metabolism and Pranayama (Breathing Techniques) to settle your mind and relieve it from any stress.
