Yoga For Hearing Loss

Loss of hearing can affect you at any point in life, and even quite unexpectedly. In hearing loss, your symptoms are addressed more than the problem itself. Yoga for hearing loss aims at relaxing and rejuvenating your ear muscles. They are then in a better state to breathe, and the added oxygen supply hastens the recovery process. With improved blood circulation to the muscles of your neck and face, the ear muscles enjoy the benefit of better gaseous exchange. In yoga for hearing loss, the nerves are also stretched, which stimulates their functioning. This includes your auditory nerves as well, which are stimulated to increase your hearing capacity.

Conductive hearing loss is a situation where sound does not pass into the middle ear. This may be due to some blockage, infection, or growth in your ear. Ear wax could also be the culprit, and you first need to identify and remove the cause of your hearing impairment. Conductive hearing loss treatment in yoga is also beneficial as poses like Shirshasana (Head Stand) rejuvenate your ear muscles. Yoga provides gradual treatment for the condition.

In otosclerosis, an unusual bone growth occurs near the middle ear and impairs your hearing. Hearing aids are initially helpful, though in later stages surgery is advisable if it can be done by an expert hand. Yoga poses and meditation can quicken the healing process as they stimulate your auditory nerves and muscles to function better.

Along with hearing aids you could consume natural foods that help improve hearing. Cinnamon powder with honey consumed in the morning and at night helps to improve your hearing. You need to identify the cause for your hearing loss before attempting any form of natural hearing loss treatment.
