You have mentioned that you are only 23 years old and are suffering from high blood pressure but you have not mentioned the cause of it. Is it because of certain medical condition or is it due to excessive stress? You need to find out what is causing your problem and then treat it accordingly. The high or excess pressure in your nervous system causes high blood pressure and maybe caused by being overweight, drinking too much alcohol, certain medicines, hereditary factors, unhealthy lifestyle, etc. there are a few general things that you need to keep in mind while treating high blood pressure, they are as listed below:
Start your day with lots of water and have at least 6 to 7 glasses of it throughout the day along with other fresh fruit and vegetable juices. Have simple healthy meals that are free from excessive oil and spice. Have home cooked meals if possible. Avoid highly processed and refined junk foods. Also try and include milk, freshly made soups, vegetables, fruits, curd and buttermilk in your daily diet. You can practice Dhyana or meditation and Pranayama or
breathing exercises along with the other
yoga asanas or poses. And yes you can practice the Uttanapadasana or the raised feet posture along with the other asanas or poses listed below:
- Sukha Asana Or The Easy Pose: As the name states this is an asana or pose that is very easy compared to all the other asanas or poses. It is used while practicing Dhyana or meditation as it helps to make you peaceful and calm. It also opens the hips and makes your spine straight. To do this you simply sit on your yoga mat in a cross legged position in such a way that your feet are placed below your knees. Then you gently hold your knees with your palms cupping your knees. You need to keep your spine erect and your head straight in this asana or pose.
- Ardha Matsyendrasana Or The Half Spinal Twist: This is an asana or pose that twists your spine improving its flexibility and strengthening it.
- Pavanamuktasana Or The Wind Relieving Pose: This asana as the name suggests helps in relieving the excess gases from your body and will also tone your digestive tract.
- Anulom Vilom Or The Alternate Nostril Breathing: This will help you to harmonize your breathing which in turn will harmonize the functioning of your entire system.
